• Kunze’s data show the relationship between N and ϵ qualitatively.


• Data sets from Brazil Basin and DYNAMUCK show the relationship (in the ocean interior) quantitively.         


• How to explain this relationship from the view of dynamics?


• Could the second point be an evidence to prove the pattern shown in Kunze’s data real?


• Also, Whether this high dissipation associated with high N is a possible sink for the low-mode internal tides seems important as well.
